Activity Holidays for Children

Activity Holidays for Children

Various dates available, please check the Holiday Programme for 2013

There are activity holidays for children, and then there are activity holidays for children who want more.  Activity holidays for children are offered by Visiting-Vidin and are designed to stimulate the mind, develop or improve a hobby or create an interest in something new.  As parents, we have all sat on a beach at some point during our lives and wondered ‘what can I do to keep my child occupied’.  Now you know…an activity holiday with Visiting-Vidin!

We are proud that we have individually negotiated and secured the services of local professionals, all of them experts in their professions – each activity has been crafted in such a way as to build the skills of each participant.  Furthermore this type of holiday can be designed by yourself to include one or more of the following activities: Photography, Pottery, Cooking, Art, Acting and Fishing, and as we grow we will add more activities to our portfolio and publicise.

·       Photography: A local professional photographer will teach and explain the skills required to take, print and present artistic photographs, both landscape and urban.  If photography is chosen, participants will be required to travel with their own camera and software.

·       Pottery: Mitko will teach the young participants how to create, fire and paint pottery items.  Due to the range of skills involved at least three days will be needed.

·       Cookery: Local fresh ingredients will be turned into a range of fascinating and inviting dishes – bread making will also be included in the cookery programme.

·    Art: We are pleased to announce that we have secured the skills of Vladimir Rogozharov, a very talented painter who will teach participants the art of painting.  View his work by visiting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhEWwGVSyIA

·       Acting: Krasi, who is an actor and part time teacher at the local school will guide participants towards a small production to be performed at the end of the visit.

·    Fishing: The Vidin region is blessed with numerous locations to fish; the mighty river Danube and Rabisha lake are only two of many excellent locations.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Rabisha

Where a specialist does not speak the language of the participants a translator

will be engaged.
